Sustain / Real Bread Campaign / Join the Real Bread Campaign
Gift Aid

As a UK taxpayer, you can help Sustain (the charity that runs the Real Bread Campaign) to reclaim 25p in tax from the Government for every £1 of your annual subscription and other donations to us.
To make a Gift Aid declaration
- You must be a UK taxpayer.
- Your subscription / donations must come from a personal / sole trader / self-employed / partnership account.
- The amount of Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax you pay in a tax year must be at least as much as the Gift Aid we claim.
If you want / need to change or check your declaration or postal address, you can do so by logging into your dashboard.
Notes
- The extra 25% / 25p per £1 that we (Sustain) claim will come from the Government, not you.
- We can claim Gift Aid on donations from indiviuduals, sole traders / self-employed people, and business partnerships - for the latter, each partner has to sign a declaration.
- We cannot claim Gift Aid on any payments / donations from limited companies, or on donations you have collected from other people to pass on to us – for example from customers during Real Bread Week or Sourdough September.
- If you’re a Level 4 Campaign supporter paying £121 per year, your annual tax bill will only have to be £30.25 or more for us to claim Gift Aid – minimum tax bills for supporters at the lower subscription Levels are even less.
