Sustain has links with the following organisations in the USA: 

• Centre for Science in the Public Interest, which educates the public and campaigns for government policies that promote good food and protects people’s health and the environment.

• Community Food Security Coalition, a non-profit network organisation that aims to build a strong, sustainable, local and regional food systems that ensures access to affordable, nutritious, and culturally appropriate food for all people at all times. The coalition has over 300 member organisations, see: www.foodsecurity.org
• Family Farmed, which promotes local and responsibly grown food around Chicago. www.familyfarmed.org
• Growing Power, which was established by the award-winning Will Allen.  This Milwaukee-based project inspires diverse communities to build sustainable food systems: www.growingpower.org

In addition, Edible Cities is a report of a Sustain visit in 2008 to urban agriculture projects in the USA and contains a number of links to US-based organisations.
