Other planning tools

An area that has a strong local plan policy that supports the protection and provision of space for community food growing will be in the best position.

However, if there is only a generally supportive policy in your adopted local plan and a local plan review is not imminent, how else can you encourage developers to increase provision? Here are two possibilities:

Go to Making It Happen section to monitor planning applications to make sure guidance is being used.

The local plan making system differs in each nation. We are working in detail with English cities. Other communities must apply the lessons learnt to the system in their own country.
