An area that has a strong set of local plan policies that supports a good food environment will be in the best position to achieve its objectives through new development.

However, if there is only a generally supportive policy in your adopted local plan and a local plan review is not imminent, how else can you encourage developers to increase provision? Here are two possibilities:

The local plan making system differs in each nation. We are working in detail with English cities. Other communities must apply the lessons learnt to the system in their own country.
