Public Health England warning on diabetes figures

PHE, an executive agency of the Department of Health has warned that  five million people in England are at high risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.

PHE's report shows the number of people over 16 with blood sugar levels putting them at risk of getting Type 2 diabetes. They stressed the need to act on the disease as it already causes 22,000 early deaths and costs the NHS £8.8 billion every year.
