The Eating Better Alliance and Compassion in World Farming are supporting the first ever World Meat Free Day which will take place on Monday 15th June to raise awareness of the issues surrounding meat sustainability.
World Meat Free Day reminds us that if 10 million people went meat-free for one meal the amount of CO2 emissions saved would equal those made by driving around the world 2,438 times. 48 tonnes of saturated fat and 13 million tonnes of water would also be saved. You can find out more and join in by pledging to go meat free for the day at http://www.worldmeatfreeday.com/. Sustain are founding members of the Eating Better Alliance.
