Neha shares her powerful story this week about the importance of a little patch of green space for herself and her family, the wider community as well as the role it plays in enhancing biodiversity and combatting climate change.
Park Road Allotments in Isleworth, Hounslow, are under threat from redevelopment. Neha has grown food there since she was three and says having an outdoor space for the community is vital, especially during lockdown. In the meantime, Hounslow Council says the planning application "remains under consideration".
'I don't want a world made of concrete' says Neha who feels strongly that green spaces like this one should be protected.
You can hear her views and thoughts on urban growing spaces, the environment, nature and and climate change in this BBC Young Reporter film which won the BBC Young Reporter Competition for England (London).
