Speaking at the Groceries Code Adjudicator (GCA) annual conference announced that she will end her role as supermarket ombudsman at the end of her current term in June 2020.

Tacon made her announcement as she set out a new approach for compliance with the Groceries Supply Code of Practice.

According to Food Manufacturer the GCA's annual survey revealed continuing improvement in retailer behaviour. Delay in payments fell from 19% to 13% in the year and only four out of ten suppliers reported having experienced any problems in that period.
