Emergent Generation's upcoming events are designed to share knowledge, build community, and grow resilience; bringing together young farmers, growers, land stewards, policymakers, retailers, and anyone passionate or involved in farming and food systems, agroecology, and regeneration across the UK.
Old and new faces are welcome to one (or all!) of these events. Emergent Generation events are usually subsidised for members (18-35 years) - it’s free to become a member here.
If you are over 35 and wish to join in, they often have a small number of supporter places available, charged at full price to pay forward.

After three unforgettable summer gatherings, we’re excited to invite you to our next annual event—Emergent Generation 2025: Reconnecting Town and Country
This year, we’re digging into a vital issue. How can we reconnect town and country, farm and fork? How can we build understanding across rural and urban perspectives?
Expect inspiring talks from leading speakers and practitioners, farm walks, practical workshops, and off-site visits. There will be space for conversations that challenge assumptions and spark collaboration. Expect great food and a celebration. Bring your tent or hire a luxury bell tent.
It’s the last time we’ll hold this event at Conygree Farm for a while, so don’t miss out!
Keep an eye on our Instagram for bursary opportunities.
Emergent Generation Net Zero Workshop
When: September 2025 (date TBC)
Where: London (venue TBC)
Member Cost: Free (funded by AFN Network+)
Moving to net zero and transforming the food system is complex. Connections across the sector, exchange of knowledge and perspectives are crucial. Young people, in their early careers and own businesses, are at the forefront of the net zero challenge.
This event will bring together a diverse range of young people aged 18 to 35 from across the food system for a one-day net zero workshop.
We will first set the scene by summarising the latest research, policies, and practice relating to net zero in the UK agri-food sector. We shall then explore participants' current role and their challenges, opportunities, and lessons learnt. We shall draw out connections, needs, and next steps.
Participants will gain knowledge, confidence, and new networks. A brief summary of the day will be produced and disseminated after the event.
In addition to the main event, we are hoping to hold an Emergent Generation Supper Club in the evening, celebrating sustainable food.
If you are interested in helping with or joining this event, please contact us. More details and a booking link will open soon.
