Sustain is delighted to announce that the application from The Vegan Society to become a member of the Sustain alliance has been approved by Sustain’s Council of Trustees, and ratified by alliance members.

Sustain warmly welcomes this organisation whose mission is to support a managed and just transition to a more sustainable, plant-based food system.

Libby Peppiatt CEO of The Vegan Society says:

"The Vegan Society is delighted to join Sustain at this critical time, to add our voice to its call for a food system that serves everyone now and in the future. We look forward to building on the consensus about the importance of plant-based foods through contributing our perspective and expertise, learning from our peers and engaging in positive dialogue with other members."

Ruth Westcott, Sustain Campaign Manager says:

"It's fantastic to welcome the Vegan Society to the alliance. The need to shift to a food system that is kind to animals, healthy, and sustainable has never been greater. The Vegan society have been advocating for the rights of people and animals for over 80 years, and our alliance is so much stronger with them on board"
