Sustain's Annual Gathering: Book Now

Join us on the 17 January 2017 for an evening of debate, celebration, and the opportunity to meet some of the UK’s leading sustainable food, farming and fishing organisations and initiatives. With special guest speaker Lord Don Curry.

The theme of our gathering and public debate will be: What shall we do about Brexit? Opportunities to achieve healthy, fair, humane and sustainable food, farming and fishing – for the benefit of everyone.

We are pleased to welcome Lord Don Curry to be our special guest speaker, who was Chair of the Policy Commission on the Future of Food and Farming back in 2001/02, consulting widely and making policy recommendations in the wake of foot & mouth disease. He has been a leading and respected supporter of sustainable farming ever since, and is now a cross-bench member of the House of Lords. He will speak about the political and policy opportunities for influencing the food, fishing and farming agendas, following the EU Referendum. His talk will be followed by considered responses from members of the Sustain alliance, and an opportunity for questions and debate.

Starting at 6pm, our Sustain alliance members AGM will be followed by the Annual Gathering and Debate starting at 7pm, the latter being open to the public. Talks will finish around 8.30pm, after which there will be an opportunity to meet and mingle with attendees over sustainable drinks and nibbles.

The event will be at:

St Ethelburga's Centre
78 Bishopsgate
EC2N 4AG London
