New research from Diabetes UK shows 60% rise in cases

Diabetes UK say that more than 3 million people in the UK are being treated for diabetes - an increase of nearly 60% in the last decade. 

The majority of these cases have type 2 diabetes which is often linked to obesity. Diabetes UK, a Sustain member, called for more money to be spent on preventing diabetes, to dramatically reduce costs to the NHS.
