Applications for grants of more than £35,000 are open under a new Growth Programme, aimed at rural businesses with projects that can benefit the rural economy.
This round of funding is part of the Rural Development Programme and DEFRA said the funding would be offered to projects which bring the biggest benefit to rural areas, for example expanding or setting up a new business, or developing new food processing facilities.
