Roll up for Veggie Lotto!

The Vegetarian Society has launched a weekly lottery to raise funds for its campaigning work, with the first draw taking place in May to mark the start of National Vegetarian Week.

Sustain member the Vegetarian Society has opted for a new approach to fundraising, in the shape of a public lottery. Tickets cost £1 each, there are seven weekly guaranteed cash prizes with a £25,000 jackpot, and 50p from every ticket goes to fund the Society's campaign work. More info and tickets here.

The first draw is on 13 May -- just before the start of this year's National Vegetarian Week, which runs from 15 - 21 May. There's still time to organise an event if you haven't already planned one -- there are resources online to help here.
