Growing for Change pledge + handbook launch event

As part of #UrbanHarvest2022, we are excited to be launching the Growing for Change pledge + handbook which has been co-produced with 19 community garden from across London. The launch event will take place on Friday 16 September from 2-3pm at Calthorpe Community Garden, during their annual Harvest Festival.

What: An event during London’s 13th annual Urban Harvest to: 

  • launch Capital Growth’s new handbook for urban food gardens which sets out the essential role London’s food gardens play in tackling the climate and nature emergency and creating community resilience, co-produced by community gardens reps through Spring 2022.  
  • invite gardens across London to make the Growing for Change pledge adopting the values and principles contained in the handbook, and working through the self-assessment tool. 

When: Friday 16 September, 2-3pm
Where: Calthorpe Community Garden, WC1X 8LH
