This Food Power and Right to Food webinar discussed the challenges of NRPF (no recourse to public funds) and how we can better support and involve those living with this status.
No recourse to public funds (NRPF) is an immigration condition that prevents individuals from accessing state support. Despite the challenges Covid-19 has caused for so many, government support for those living in food poverty still fails to explicitly include all those with NRPF, leaving people at increased risk of food insecurity and more isolated than ever. This webinar looked at how NRPF causes difficulties, what food poverty alliances and other organisations can do to increase access to food and involve those living with NRPF and how we can work with people with NRPF to challenge this immigration condition.

- Lesley Lila - Campaigns Manager at Praxis, a charity supporting migrants and refugees
- Esther, Adeola, Maria and Rashidat from Women Inspiring New Generations (WINGS), a self-advocacy group coordinated by Praxis.
- Ilona Pinter - A doctoral candidate based at the Centre for Analysis of Social Exclusion (CASE), part of the Social Policy department at the London School of Economics
- Lynda Ouzar - Founder of Solidarity Britannia, a food hive supporting people living with NRPF in East London
