Heather Hancock confirmed as new FSA chair

FSA apppoints a chair committed to fighting food fraud and building relationships with business

Heather Hancock has been confirmed as the new Chair of the Food Standards Agency with effect from 1 April 2016 for three years.

Hancock aims to strengthen the FSA's relationships with business, and also to pursue food fraud. Before joining the FSA, she served as Private Secretary to three Home Secretaries. From the early 2000s until 2014, she worked for the corporate finance consultancy Deloitte.
