Tooth Fairies take on the Coca Cola truck

When the Coca Cola Christmas truck came to London, Children's Food Campaign decided to organise an alternative spectacle. So on Saturday 5 December a group of tooth fairies paid a visit to the truck parked outside the O2 Centre (North Greenwich) to spread a bit of holiday cheer in a rather more positive, healthier - less sugary - way.

Many parents, doctors, dentists and now even MPs have questioned the appropriateness of Coca Cola's 'Happiness is Coming' Christmas truck marketing strategy; especially as many of the locations the trucks visit have very high childhood obesity rates.

So the Children's Food Campaign organised a 'tooth fairy flash mob', to dance around the Coca Cola truck, hand out flyers and send a message that health - rather than sugary drinks - is a better foundation for happiness.

Take a look at how the tooth fairies got on  ..... see our photos on Facebook.

Children's Food Campaign: Better food and food teaching for children in schools, and protection of children from junk food marketing are the aims of Sustain's high-profile Children's Food Campaign. We also want clear food labelling that can be understood by everyone, including children.
