Community Food Enterprise

Greenwich Co-operative Development Agency
Promotes, develops, and supports the co-operative/social enterprise sector as part of local sustainable economic development in the diverse communities of Greenwich.

Growing Communities
Growing Communities is a social enterprise run by local people in Hackney, East London. It runs a successful food trading scheme supporting local growers and farmers through an organic vegetable box scheme, urban food growing and a weekly organic farmers' market. It is also developing a mentoring scheme to help others replicate this successful and financially proven model.

Hampshire Fare

Mid Wales Food and Land Trust
The Trust manages a portfolio of projects that make a significant contribution to building a sustainable local and regional economy for Mid Wales. Projects include promoting cooking skills, consultancy services, work with schools, support for farmers' markets and promoting food tourism.

Campaign to Protect Rural England
CPRE is a national organisation campaigning for a sustainable future for the English countryside, a vital but undervalued environmental, economic and social asset to the nation. It highlights threats and promotes positive solutions.

Provides market research, business planning and consultancy services to organisations and enterprises involved in local food and farming and related sustainability initiatives.

Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens
Supports community-managed green spaces and is the national face of the community farm and garden movement.

Food Matters
Food Matters is an independent not-for-profit consultancy supporting individuals and organisations working towards more sustainable, equitable food systems. It also runs FAB! a flexible programme of workshops, training and materials to provide tools, skills and knowledge to help manage mood and behaviour through improved diet.

Friends of the Earth
Friends of the Earth is a national campaign and membership organisation working to protect and improve the conditions for life on Earth, now and for the future. It runs a Real Food campaign, aiming to ensure that everyone has access to food that is fresh, affordable, locally produced, free from pesticide residues and genetically modified ingredients, and which provides a fair income to farmers.

Local Food Fund
Big Lottery fund coordinated by the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts, which distributes grants to a variety of food-related projects to help make locally grown food accessible and affordable to local communities.
