Composting is a really wonderful way to transform organic 'waste' into a very valuable resource.

Whether you'd like to start composting, or to improve your existing set-up, join us for our first in-person Masterclass on composting with Camila Barboza on Saturday 11 March, 10.30am-1pm. Just in time for #CompostWeekUK, we'll discuss everything you need to know to make beautiful, crumbly compost - from the basic science behind it to a range of composting methods, including different systems for regular/cold composting as well as hot composting, wormeries, and bokashi.

Camila will also share tips about how to go about composting in small spaces, what to include and what to avoid adding to your composting pile or bin, and how to troubleshoot common problems.

Masterclass trainer bio:

Camila Barboza is a food and herb grower, holistic gardener and forager. She is endlessly fascinated by the wonders of nature, and the beautiful processes that we get to enjoy as gardeners, such as seeds turning into plants and old plants turning into soil.

She currently works at Hackney Herbal and Core Landscapes, spreading the love for plants, soil, and the natural world through community gardening, courses, and workshops.

She adores composting and can often be found talking to the microorganisms in her composting bins.

Capital Growth: We believe everyone should have the opportunity to grow food as part of a healthy, resilient food system and we are working with our network of growers in London to make this happen.
