Oliver Rowe, GreenCook food waste ambassador
Oliver Rowe is a member of the GreenCook Ambassadors network of food professionals, coordinated in the UK by Ethical Eats. The Ambassadors have a wealth of knowledge about the industry and how to create more sustainable dishes and help curb food waste. They explore in practice some of the findings of the tools and research developed by the transnational GreenCook project.
Oliver Rowe has worked across Europe and spent four years at the award-winning Moro in Clerkenwell before going on to open his own café, Konstam, in King’s Cross. This was followed by his restaurant, Konstam at the Prince Albert, which offered outstanding seasonal food, made using ultra-locally sourced produce, 80% of which was grown or reared in and around Greater London.
Oliver is currently working on various projects, not only based around his own work but also with Cape Farewell, a science and art-based climate change awareness organization, and Wilderness Wood, a sustainable family-run woodland center in East Sussex. He is also writing a book about seasonal food.
