It's (Y)OUR Sourdough September
The Real Bread Campaign coordinator asks: what should we all do?
Hi,
The Real Bread Campaign needs to nail down the basics of this year’s Sourdough September so we can start promoting it (inter)nationally and business owners can start their planning and then regional/local media/marketing work.
To make it even more of a team effort this year, I’m asking for suggestions from you - Campaign supporters, Loaf Mark users and people with free Real Bread Map listings.
Aims
As ever, the purpose of our annual, international celebration is encouraging people to:
- BAKE genuine sourdough bread.
- BUY genuine sourdough bread from local, indie bakeries.
- BOOST the Campaign by joining us or otherwise supporting our charity’s work.
Questions
As a collective, how can the Campaign*:
- Encourage bakeries, baking schools, mills etc. to get involved in (and amplify) this awareness-raising initiative? For example, what would be practical for your business to do that will help to achieve one or more of these?
- Help businesses and other organisations to get the most out of this marketing opportunity?
- Encourage everyone else to buy, bake and boost?
- Attract supporters and doughnations so we can keep fighting your corner?
*All of us in the network, rather than just me at my laptop.
I’m also after suggestions of what might help to generate more media coverage than usual and/or inspire more influencers to help create a social media buzz around Sourdough September.
Over to you!
Happy baking,
Chris Young
