London Food Board celebrates 10 years of leadership

The Capital of Food report, released today by the Greater London Authority, celebrates a decade of good food leadership by the London Food Board and its many partners.

Ten years ago, a dedicated group of individuals set out a vision for how London could foster innovation and change to create a healthier, more sustainable food system. The London Food Board, together with many partners and the Mayor of London's food team, have been at the heart of a delicious revolution in the nation’s capital.

The Capital of Food report, released today by the Greater London Authority, celebrates the countless incredible food projects rising up from London’s streets, parks, community centres, markets, homes, schools, cafés, restaurants and hospitals. Jamie Oliver, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Raymond Blanc contributed their thoughts on the challenges ahead.

At the launch at London's City Hall, Sustain coordinator Kath Dalmeny challenged those who care about food to harness the powers we have to continue to innovate and change.

Sustain runs the London Food Link network which coordinates a number of food campaigns in the capital. Join now.
