South Lanarkshire Food Partnership
The Food Partnership supports the development of a Good Food Council. It encourages collaboration and partnership among its members and contributes to the formulation and implementation of the Good Food Strategy in South Lanarkshire. In particular, the partnership aims at tackling food poverty and insecurity through a systemic approach by considering health, social, economic and environmental challenges that are related to food.
Members: The Food Partnership is open to all organisations willing to promote Good Food in South Lanarkshire. At the moment, the following organisations are involved: the South Lanarkshire Council, Clydesdale Community Initiatives, Clydesdale Food Bank, East Kilbride Community Food Bank, Healthy Valleys, Lanarkshire Community Food and Health Partnership, LEAP, Machan Trust and Whitlawburn Community Resource Centre.
