Every mouthful counts: Unlocking a local good food revolution

WebinarThursday 10 November 2022 • 10:0011:00

We reveal how UK councils are performing on food, with leading councils sharing their lessons for a good food revolution.

The food system is responsible for a third of UK emissions and is the leading cause of biodiversity loss. This needs to change.

Local authorities in the UK spend over £70bn on procurement each year and manage up to 1.3 million acres of land collectively. They have a significant role to play in reversing Britain's broken food system.

In this exciting webinar, Food for the Planet shared the findings of our latest research, revealing how councils have performed on food in relation to climate and nature. We also heard from councils that came out top in our reporting, to share their experiences of creating a local good food revolution.
