Years of hard work to improve school meals are being undone
Government policies are placing our children’s health and education at risk
It would cost nothing to make existing food standards apply to academy schools
Jamie Oliver's 'School Dinners' TV series in 2005 led to a public outcry and to the introduction of nutritional standards for school meals, including a ban on junk food and drinks in school vending machines. Appetising and nutritious school food is important for children's health and well-being, and for their education. We need as many people as possible to take action to help Save Our School Food Standards.
