Eating the planet to death

'Extinction and Livestock' is the theme of Compassion in World Farming's autumn conference, with an impressive array of participants already lined up, and opportunies for networking and discussion.

Sustain member CIWF's international conference will examine how we can transform our global food and farming systems to work for people, the planet and animals. It will bring together diverse interests – conservation and livestock production, land and water use, the environment and climate change, ethics and economics, healthy and sustainable diets, food security and food business – and act as a catalyst for future collaboration and solution development. Key speakers already confirmed include: award-winning author, Dr Carl Safina; World Food Prize winner, Hans Herren; and Dr Hilal Elver, UN Special Rapporteur on the right to food. The event takes place at the Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre in central London on 5 and 6 October 2017. Find more details and register here.
