Working party terms of reference (draft)

1. Sustain
Sustain: the alliance for better food and farming is a network of over 100 national organisations united by their aim to work towards a healthier, fairer and more sustainable food system. Sustain works with its membership to develop policy conducive to such a food system and through research or practical projects.

London Food Link is funded for three years by European Reginoal Development Fund and by Defra’s Environmental Action Fund.  London Food Link runs a network of organisations and individuals with members as diverse as farmers, food writers, caterers and community food projects. Both London Food Link and its members run projects that help to:

3. The role of the working party
All Sustain projects are guided by an advisory working party of Sustain members and other experts. All Sustain working parties are chaired by a member of the Sustain board (who will regularly report project progress to that board).

Working party meetings will take place at least FOUR times a year in London.

The project officer will report progress to the working party at or prior to meetings. The working party should officer advice and information on a range of project related issues including on project implementation. Working party members may be able to promote the project through their own networks.
