Which London Boroughs are showing leadership? (2011)

This page summarises the progress being made by each London Borough on key healthy and sustainable food issues. To see each issue on a London Borough map, follow the links on the Good Food for London home page. If all London Boroughs took the simple, affordable and effective action outlined on these pages, it would significantly improve the health of Londoners, the livelihoods of the farmers and other food providers, and the sustainability of the food system we all depend on. Please note that the following chart shows seven key actions that London Boroughs can take, that were suited to the mapping and scoring process. There are more actions set out in the Good Food for London report that London Boroughs could take to make the food system healthier and more sustainable.

NOTE: The London Borough maps of action taken were correct, to the best of the evidence available to us, at the time of publication (November 2011). We have made every effort to ensure that we highlight good practice of London Boroughs. However, if things have improved in your Borough, or if there is information that we have not included, please let us know and we will update the maps as more action happens. We further note that the City of London is a smaller Borough than others, with different infrastructure and opportunities to promote good food. On some issues, the City of London may therefore be less able to act than on others.
