Have a look at what we’re up to and the events that we have organised over the past year.
Our events bring a diverse set of people and projects together from around the country to explore in depth a particular local food issue and to network with other projects. If you have an idea for an event that you’d like to see happen in your part of the country then get in touch (email polly@sustainweb.org).
Our events are open to all, but Local Action on Food members get a large discount on attending! So do please consider joining the network.

Bristol focused Networking Event.
Many food projects and businesses are trying to change the food system – by promoting healthy food, selling local and organic produce or increasing people’s access to better food. Not only is this task large, but it is also hard to make these initiatives work, and be financially viable in the long term.
So come along to Bristol on the 14th of September 2010 to explore some of the possible avenues for food projects and enterprises to become more financially viable.
This event will explore:
- Grants and Funding - What’s available? Is it the best route for your project?
- Selling Services - What can you offer your local authority, local businesses or NHS?
- Raising money in other ways - Would trading, community investments, loans or social enterprise work for you?
Projects from in and around Bristol will be showcasing their work later in the afternoon at our first Local Action on Food Networking event.
