Concern over high levels of sugar and salt in popcorn

A new survey from Sustain member CASH (Consensus Action on Salt and Health) reveals shockingly high levels of salt and sugar found in some popcorn brands.

CASH said their survey shows that while popcorn is now often marketed as a healthy snack some popcorns can be extremely high in sugar and salt, with some cinema popcorn portions containing almost the maximum daily recommended salt intake for an adult.
