Government invests in National Fruit Collection

The Government have announced financial backing for the National Fruit Collection at Faversham which they say ensures the UK can "grow more, buy more and sell more British fruit whatever the weather".

Defra say their financial support means researchers in Kent can identify varieties of fruit most resilient to extreme weather conditions and this will further increase the export value of British fruit.
