‘Periods without plastic’ campaign to make eco-friendly menstrual products

Sustain member Women’s Environmental Network are crowdfunding for a campaign to address the amount of plastic from menstrual products which litter our seas, rivers and beaches.

The ‘environmenstrual’ crowdfund is aiming to raise £10,000 to launch a major campaign.

The campaign aims to:

  • get manufacturers to remove plastic from their disposable menstrual products so that they are biodegradable
  • Increase awareness and availability of reusable menstrual products
  • For schools and universities to use reusable organic menstrual products in their education programmes.
  • All menstrual products to be disposed of appropriately

The Early Bird Pledger Week starts on Monday 14 May.
