Chef Tomos Parry’s debut restaurant drawing on his Welsh heritage with influence from the Basque region of northern Spain. Seasonal, organic veg is sourced from farms in South Wales and sustainable fish sourced from Cornwall, which are cooked on an open wood-fired grill.
An 8ft gherkin sculpture, a rooftop and 13 different varieties of cucumber. The Culpeper is now growing, pickling and brining its own cucumbers, so kick back on the rooftop and enjoy a pickleback.
Part of a new-school of Thai restaurants, this Shoreditch spot serves up punchy, street food influenced dishes. One for those who like spice. Thai herbs and vegetables are grown in greenhouses in Cornwall and fresh seafood is driven up daily from small-scale Cornish day boats.

Open the first Saturday of each month, this Brick Lane market showcases homemade sauces, spices, chilli plants as well as upcycled clothes and homewares.
This Parisian-style wine bar and bistro is serving up natural wines and a seasonal, ingredient-led menu. Expect dishes like sweetbreads with morels, spinach and a nettle sauce and snacks of grilled quail, whelks with garlic mayonnaise, and whipped cod’s roe.
The Spread Eagle
London’s first 100% vegan pub, creating a modern take on a classic East End boozer. In charge of food is vegan street food pioneer Club Mexicana, serving up Mexican-Californian inspired dishes.
Bulk Foods, Chiswick W4
London’s newest zero waste market recently opened its doors in Chiswick, selling wholefoods in bulk without plastic packaging, with a focus on organic, vegan and gluten-free products.
What The Pitta
The third and flagship branch of the UK’s first vegan doner kebab restaurant. Middle Eastern spice-marinated soya, grilled over fire, wrapped in homemade bread, with hummus, tzatziki and fresh salads.
King’s Cross N1C
Open every weekend with live music on a Friday, this new Kings Cross food, drink and craft market features Real Bread favourites Bread Ahead and English wine from Redhill Farm Estate.
Planet Organic, Fitzrovia WC1E
The zero waste bulk buying retailers Unpackaged have set up shop at Planet Organic in Torrington Place, with refillable dispensers for pasta, rice, pulses, nuts, seeds and spices.
The Good Egg
Combining the flavours of the Middle East with classic New York delis, this Soho restaurant is a new companion to this Sustainable Restaurant Association member’s Stoke Newington branch and sources high quality fish from South Bank Fish.
The second London outpost of this Italian pizzeria uses organic, stoneground flour, a sourdough starter and ingredients from small-scale producers to create pizzas they promise are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside.
Small Beer Brew Co.
The world’s first brewery dedicated to small beer - but what does that mean, we hear you ask?! Ale brewed with natural carbonation and no artificial additives to between 0.5 - 2.8% ABV, like it was in the 1700s. They claim they use six times less water to make a pint than traditional methods.
