Good Food on the Public Plate awards 2009

Public sector caterers challenged

In November 2009, we held the inaugural Good Food on the Public Plate awards to celebrate public sector caterers from across the capital who are using sustainable produce. Applications for the 2010 awards are now invited, with the awards ceremony to be held on 30 November 2010 at London's City Hall. Download the application form here. Rosie Boycott, Chair of the London Food Board will present the awards to caterers who have made significant changes to their catering and/or supply chains. Click here for more information

The project is now in its third phase. It will build on past work to increase the proportion of healthy and sustainable food in the meals served by the public sector.

Previously, Good Food on the Public Plate focused on hospitals. This new phase of the project broadened the scope to include universities, schools, prisons, government departments, and care homes as well as continued work with hospitals. Find out more here
