Plans to scrap Finnish tax on sweets and ice cream

The Finnish government has announced plans to abandon a tax on sweets and ice cream from the beginning of 2017.

The Finnish Cabinet Committee on Economic Policy made the decision after the EC told them this tax system unfairly favours Finnish producers. Soft drinks have been taxed in Finland since 1940 and according to the Finnish government this tax will remain. Support Sustain's Children's Health Fund.
