The shortlist announced today puts the Jellied Eel up against Food and Travel and Fire and Knives in the magazine category.
The Jellied Eel, produced by London Food Link and B.I.G. Media celebrates its 10th year of production. The Eel has grown from an eight page black and white newsletter to a quarterly free magazine with a circulation of 20,000 through over 100 London outlets and estimated readership of 50,000.
Other categories in this years awards pit Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Fish Fight against Alex Renton and The Food Programme for the award in campaigning and investigative food writing or broadcasting. The winners will be announced on the 30th May.
