Major names from food industry lead Defra strategy

Eighty representatives from UK food and farming industry will help to develop an industry-led long term plan for the future of food and farming, Defra has announced.

Defra held an event with industry figures including Tesco, Sainsbury's and Morrisons as well as PepsiCo, Premier Foods and Cranswick. This continues DEFRA's focus on industry-led growth which they say will 'grow exports, improve skills, attract high-flyers and harness data and technology so the industry can innovate, grow and create jobs'.
