Conference: Brexit and Wales: Land and Sea

A conference on the Implications of Brexit for Rural Land Management and Fisheries in Wales will take place on Tuesday 13th February 2018, 11am-4pm a the Medrus Centre, Aberystwyth University. Speakers are from the Wales Centre for Public Policy and Sustain alliance member New Economics Foundation.

Leading researchers from the fields of agriculture and fisheries give their view on the implications of Brexit for Wales.

The event will feature two main presentations. The first will be from Professor Janet Dwyer (Countryside and Community Research Institute), who has authored a Wales Centre for Public Policy report on the implications of Brexit for rural land management in Wales. The second will be from Griffin Carpenter (New Economics Foundation), who has authored a Wales Centre for Public Policy report on the implications of Brexit for fisheries in Wales. Both reports will be available from the Wales Centre for Public Policy website.

Following these presentations will be two panels featuring experts from these fields to discuss the broader topics of Brexit, land and sea. There will be time for questions from the audience.

Bydd y digwyddiad yn cynnwys dau brif gyflwyniad. Bydd y cyntaf gan yr Athro Janet Dwyer (Countryside and Community Research Institute), awdur adroddiad Canolfan Polisi Cyhoeddus Cymru ar oblygiadau Brexit ar reoli tir gwledig yng Nghymru. Bydd yr ail gan Griffin Carpenter (New Economics Foundation), awdur adroddiad Canolfan Polisi Cyhoeddus Cymru ar oblygiadau Brexit ar bysgodfeydd yng Nghymru. Bydd y ddau adroddiad ar gael ar wefan Canolfan Polisi Cyhoeddus Cymru.

Yn dilyn y cyflwyniadau hyn bydd dau banel yn cynnwys arbenigwyr o'r meysydd hyn yn trafod pynciau ehangach Brexit, tir a môr.

Bydd cyfle i’r gynulleidfa ofyn cwestiynau.
