The new Transatlantic Trade and Investment partnership (TTIP) is getting greater attention as MPs start an enquiry over fears it could weaken rules to protect food and the environment. Mps are also having a debate this week- do write to your MP now in advance of a debate on Thursday. The TTIP represents a potentially huge shift in power from ordinary people to corporate interests. It could give corporations the right to sue governments in dodgy off-shore courts as well as accelerate climate chaos and weaken food and environmental standards.
