Calling notice: Food prices: how high will they go?
17/09/2008

Friends of the Earth, nef (the new economics foundation) and Sustain: the alliance for better food and farming are jointly organising fringe meetings at the party conferences entitled ‘Food prices: how high will they go?’

As food price rises continue to hit consumers in the UK and damage development in the global South, these meetings will ask why are food prices rising and how the political parties plan to solve the environmental, health and social issues created by our current food system.  The meetings are part of the Climate Clinic.

The details are:

Labour conference:

Sunday, 21 September, 5.45pm at the Climate Clinic, Room 1, The Cube, 113-115 Portland St, Manchester M1 6FB (outside secure zone).
