The Children's Food Campaign is very concerned at a range of potentially misleading claims and poor nutritional advice contained in so-called ‘curriculum packs’ sent to schools by food companies and trade associations.
These packs are particularly worrying, because the information in them is designed to be presented to children by their teacher as fact.
This article in The Observer (published on 31 August, 2008), based on work by the Children's Food Campaign, explains more: http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2008/aug/31/fooddrinks.health
The Children’s Food Campaign is collating a dossier of examples from these curriculum packs. If you have seen something you are concerned about, please email us on Richard@sustainweb.org
