PSHE: 3a and 4a

Ask the children to work in pairs and to imagine what they would do as the parents of the children in these case studies;

• Marion is 3. She refuses to eat anything which is red or green.
  
• Joe is 5 years old. He won't eat vegetables because he says that he doesn't like them. He likes
  bananas but has never tried any other fruits because he says he knows that he won't like them.
  
• Sarah is aged 7. She has heard that tomatoes are really good for you but is scared to try them
  as she didn't like the taste when she was 3.
  
• Andy is 11 years old. Ever since he was a small boy he has lived on a diet of fish finger sandwiches, crisps, tomato soup and ice cream.

Ask the children to perform a role play in which they attempt to persuade one of the children in the case studies to adopt a healthier diet.
