Grow Heathrow

Grow Heathrow was born in March 2010 as part of Transition Heathrow who aim to build resilient communities through grassroots solutions in the face of peak oil and climate change. Once a site causing local residents a host of social problems, 30 tonnes of rubbish have been removed, two 100ft greenhouses re-glazed and a flourishing community garden has come to life. Grow Heathrow is a hub for local residents and environmental activists to share knowledge and practical skills such as organic gardening, permaculture design, bicycle maintenance and wood and metal work.
