Calderdale Local Orchard Group

We are a non-profit community group based in West Yorkshire. The objectives of CLOG are:

1. To promote fruit growing in Calderdale and the surrounding area
2. To promote the establishment of community orchards in Calderdale and the surrounding area
3. To hold or promote community events to celebrate and promote fruit growing
4. To use and preserve, and promote the use and preservation of, the produce of local orchards
5. To conserve or support the conservation of local varieties of fruit
6. To map and otherwise document the current state of fruit growing in Calderdale and the surrounding area
7. To preserve and develop the local knowledge and traditions of fruit growing in Calderdale
8. To support local enterprises involved the growing of and/or processing of fruit
9. To promote a healthy lifestyle through the consumption of fruit
10. To provide training related to fruit growing, processing and the establishment of community orchards
