Calderdale Local Orchard Group
We are a non-profit community group based in West Yorkshire. The objectives of CLOG are:
- To promote fruit growing in Calderdale and the surrounding area
- To promote the establishment of community orchards in Calderdale and the surrounding area
- To hold or promote community events to celebrate and promote fruit growing
- To use and preserve, and promote the use and preservation of, the produce of local orchards
- To conserve or support the conservation of local varieties of fruit
- To map and otherwise document the current state of fruit growing in Calderdale and the surrounding area
- To preserve and develop the local knowledge and traditions of fruit growing in Calderdale
- To support local enterprises involved the growing of and/or processing of fruit
- To promote a healthy lifestyle through the consumption of fruit
- To provide training related to fruit growing, processing and the establishment of community orchards
