Project update

The Buywell project is now complete. Over recent months, we have - for example:

worked with food partners in Buywell areas to evaluate their projects
worked with the University of East London and London Sustainability Exchange to develop appropriate methods to measure the impact of Buywell
promoted the final report of the project
used what has been learned from this project to help Camden and Richmond local authorities to plan and set up similar retail projects
provided Buywell project partners with one-to-one advice and support on running their food projects
supported SureStart Hounslow to set up a volunteer recruitment and training programme which aims to build a strong local team to help run the food box scheme, community café and kitchen garden
helped to secure investment from NHS Barking and Dagenham into the Well London Super Output Area Becontree Heath where they have agreed to test a project with fast food outlets. It aims to provide much-needed support for takeaway businesses in the target area to help them cook and promote healthier options
